BALLON D'OR WINNER ANNOUNCED

 Rodri, the Spanish midfielder for Manchester City, has won the 2024 Ballon d'Or. His impressive achievements with both club and country played a significant role in securing the award. Rodri helped City claim their fourth consecutive Premier League title and was pivotal in Spain's victory at Euro 2024, where he was named Player of the Tournament. This win makes him the first Spaniard to win the Ballon d'Or since Luis Suárez in 1960, breaking a 64-year gap for Spain.

In other awards at the same ceremony, Aitana Bonmatí took home her second Women's Ballon d'Or, and Carlo Ancelotti was recognized as Men's Coach of the Year. Real Madrid received the Men’s Club of the Year award, though the club’s delegation did not attend the ceremony due to the perceived snub of Vinícius Júnior, who was considered a strong contender for the Ballon d'Or.
