The match saw Atalanta take an early lead through Aleksey Miranchuk, who found the net in the 26th minute after hitting the post shortly before. Gianluca Scamacca doubled Atalanta's advantage just before halftime. Despite Napoli’s efforts to stage a comeback in the second half—where Piotr Zielinski and Victor Osimhen both struck the woodwork—they couldn’t capitalize on their chances. Atalanta sealed their victory in the 88th minute with a goal from Teun Koopmeiners.
