Highlights of Chelsea Vs Brentford

 

Chelsea secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Brentford at Stamford Bridge in their Premier League match on December 15, 2024.

Marc Cucurella opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with a header, assisted by Noni Madueke. Despite dominating possession, Chelsea missed several chances, including a glaring miss by Nicolas Jackson. However, Jackson redeemed himself in the 80th minute by scoring the second goal after an assist from Enzo Fernández.

Brentford pushed back late, with Bryan Mbeumo scoring in the 90th minute from a Kevin Schade assist. The closing minutes were tense, exacerbated by Marc Cucurella's red card in stoppage time, but Chelsea managed to hold on for the win. The result moved Chelsea to within two points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.
