AFCON 2025 draws seeding date announced

 The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the Final Draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 will take place on January 27, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco. 

The draw is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM local time (18:00 GMT) and will feature representatives from all 24 nations that have qualified for the tournament. 

The tournament itself is set to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. 

The seeding for the draw will likely be based on the FIFA World Rankings as of December 2024, with teams allocated into different pots to ensure a balanced distribution across the groups. 

This draw will determine the group-stage opponents for each team, setting the stage for Africa's premier football competition.
