Chelsea manager given a one match ban for...

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has been handed a one-match touchline ban by the Football Association. This ban was triggered by the accumulation of three yellow cards this season.

The most recent yellow card was issued during Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Fulham on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Maresca was booked for his exuberant celebrations following Pedro Neto's winning goal in added time. His previous yellow cards this season were in matches against Newcastle and Bournemouth.

As a result of the ban, Maresca will be absent from the touchline for Chelsea's home game against Everton on Saturday, April 26, 2025. His assistant, Willy Caballero, is expected to take charge of the team for this match. Maresca will be eligible to return for Chelsea's subsequent home game against Liverpool on May 4, 2025.
