Chelsea star defender called upon by Eric Chelle to play for the Nigerian national team

Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has been called up by Nigeria's new coach Eric Chelle. The 27-year-old has been a regular for Chelsea this season, and has been praised for his versatility and defensive ability.

Chelle was speaking to Adarabioyo during a visit to England last month. The coach was looking for a central defender to add to his squad, and Adarabioyo's experience and potential to play for Nigeria stood out to him.

"I was impressed with Tosin's attitude and the way he conducts himself," Chelle said. "He's a young defender with a lot of potential, and I think he has the qualities to be a key player for Nigeria in the years to come."

Adarabioyo was initially hesitant to represent Nigeria, as he had represented England at youth levels. However, Chelle was able to convince him that he would be a valuable asset to the team.

"I told Tosin that I wanted him to play for Nigeria because I think he has the right qualities to be a leader and a key player for our national team," Chelle said. "I also told him that I would be happy to help him with any transition he may need to make."

Adarabioyo has since made his debut for Nigeria, and has been a regular starter since then. He has been praised for his performance, and is considered one of the most promising young defenders in Nigeria.

Whether Adarabioyo will be a long-term starter for Nigeria is uncertain. However, he is clearly one of the most talented and important players available to the Nigerian national team.
