 Chelsea have officially confirmed the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. The transfer was announced on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

Delap, a 22-year-old striker, has signed a contract with Chelsea until 2031. The fee is reported to be around £30 million, which was activated by a relegation release clause in his Ipswich contract. He will wear the No. 9 shirt for Chelsea.

This signing marks a significant move for Chelsea as they look to strengthen their attacking options under head coach Enzo Maresca, who previously worked with Delap during their time at Manchester City's academy. Delap had an impressive season with Ipswich, scoring 12 Premier League goals in 37 appearances.
