Premier league confirmes date of 2025/2026 season

 The Premier League has officially confirmed the key dates for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

The opening match round for the 2025/26 Premier League season will begin on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

The fixtures for the entire 2025/26 season will be released at 09:00 BST on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The final match round of the season will be played on Sunday, May 24, 2026, with all matches kicking off simultaneously as usual. This end date ensures the Premier League season concludes over two weeks before the FIFA 2026 World Cup call-up period.

The 2025/26 season will consist of 33 weekend match rounds and five midweek match rounds.
