Manchester United interested in Mbeumo

Manchester United are heavily interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

Recent reports indicate that:

 * Negotiations are ongoing: Manchester United have had at least two bids rejected by Brentford for Mbeumo, with Brentford holding out for a fee closer to £65 million.

 * Mbeumo's desire: It's widely reported that Mbeumo is keen on a move to Old Trafford, despite interest from other clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

 * Brentford's stance: Brentford are reluctant to sell, especially after losing their manager Thomas Frank and captain Christian Norgaard, but they are reportedly preparing for his potential exit by looking for replacements, such as Omari Hutchinson.

 * Pre-season tour: United are hoping to finalize a deal soon so Mbeumo can join them on their pre-season tour of the United States.

 * Potential complication: There's a suggestion that Brentford might not want to sell both Mbeumo and his teammate Yoane Wissa (who is also attracting interest from other clubs) in the same transfer window.

In summary, Manchester United are actively pursuing Bryan Mbeumo, and while there's a gap in valuation with Brentford, the player's desire to join United suggests a deal could still happen.
